Cape Town – South Africa’s former public protector Thulisile “Thuli” Madonsela has been announced as one of the judges for Miss South Africa 2022.
The beauty Pageant’s organisers announced the news on Monday.
“This year we have an all-female selection committee comprising some of South Africa’s most influential powerhouses. The first phenomenal woman on our panel is former South African public protector professor @ThuliMadonsela3,” said the Pageant’s organisers in a tweet.

According to Miss SA’s official website, Thuli is looking for an inspirational leader who believes in the possibility of and is playing her part to build a more just world.
“I am looking for a virtuous woman who walks tall in her covenant blessings. A woman on an urgent mission. A woman who is not confined to one particular role but demonstrates the capacity to live a life filled with purpose,” said Thuli as quoted by Miss SA organisation.

On the judging panel, Thuli will be joined by Businesswoman and Miss South Africa 1990 Suzette van der Merwe, former Miss South Africa and Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss, former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi and media personality Thando Thabethe.
The Pageant’s finale will be held on August 13 at Time Square’s SunBet Arena in Gauteng.
Competing for the crown in the top 10 are Anarzade Omar, Ayanda Thabethe, Itumeleng Parage, Keaoleboga Nkashe, Lebogang Mahlangu, Luvé Meyer, Luyanda Zuma, Ndavi Nokeri, Pearl Ntshehi and Tamsyn Jack.
