Cape Town – Award-winning content creator and Youtuber, Mihlali Ndamase is set to join South Africa’s long-running weekly soapie Generations: The Legacy on SABC 1 in a cameo role.
According to IOL, the SABC has confirmed the news.
“Mihlali will appear on Friday, April 22. She plays herself – a social media influencer hosting a party at our fictional club – Club Venice. Tracy, played by Zizipho Buti is very excited to meet her. As a budding journalist, she thinks Mihlali is the perfect person to work with to get eyeballs on her column. So she approaches her, hoping she will agree,” the report quoted the SABC as saying.

According to TimesLive, this will be Mihlali’s third acting role after she made her acting debut on etv’s Scandal! last year and on ShowMax’s Boxing Day film under Mandla N’s production.
After much backlash on social media upon the breaking of the news, Mihlali seemed nonchalant about the flak she has been getting.
She took to Twitter recently to let her naysayers know that she was not fazed about their opinion.
“You can be mad all you want, oksalayo (regardless),” said Mihlali.

South African entertainment industry will never grow!! There is lack of creativity, they do People favors. But fail to spot talent.
Guys do you wanna tell me that, out of all the graduates none of them would have deserved to be on Generation the legacy instead of Mihlali?

People that are mad under this post don’t know what a cameo role is, arghhh ignorance is bliss..
Remember when Chris Brown made an appearance on Generations?? Exactly, it’s a cameo role not a permanent role.. #Mihlali https://t.co/FhFD8rgkpZ

SAns angry that Mihlali is going 2 appear on Generations saying the role should be given to new/actual actors. The fact tht y’all already talkin about it is why she was given the role.?.You guys are going to watch because you really want to see how she does. Its all about numbers.
