Cape Town – South African legendary gospel singer Deborah Fraser has died.
She was aged 56.
Fraser died on Sunday after a short illness.
The Fraser family confirmed the news via a statement published on the singer’s official Facebook page.
According to The Citizen, Fraser was known for her bestselling albums such as Giloria, Isililo, Umsamaria, Udlalile Ngabantu, to name just a few.

She suffered a stroke earlier last week. She had also been battling diabetes which put her in a wheelchair in February, the report said.
The news of her passing took many South Africans by surprise.
