“Sondela is very bittersweet. Bitter in the sense that we lost Ricky and sweet because it’s doing everything we had imagined it for it to do. It’s crazy because we fought over the song so many times in the weeks prior to its drop and here we are with this number one but one of us is missing. It’s a very bittersweet feeling but we thank God nonetheless,” said Venom as quoted by the report.
Ricky Rick, 34, died on February 23. He committed suicide as a result of a mental health battle, according to TrueLove.
He left his mother, his five siblings, his wife Bianca, and their two children, his family said in a statement.
