Cape Town – Journalist and East Coast radio personality, Carol Ofori, has published a new children’s book called “The African Adventures of Sena And Katlego” under Lingua Franca Publishers.
She took to Instagram to announce the news of her becoming an author and said all she ever wanted was for the African child to see their dreams realised.
“Today I realise another dream of mine – and I add author to my name. I have written a children’s picture book series called The African Adventures of Sena and Katlego.
“It’s a series that consists of six books in a box set that follows the story of a little boy called Sena who has a magical teddy called Katlego,” she said.

She said that in the book series the boy visits South Africa, Eswatini, Chad, Uganda, Egypt and Ghana.

“I have a strong passion for the continent and it was important for my children to love this continent before admiring the Eifel Tower or Statue of Liberty. I want them to admire the icons and the beacons we have in the continent before wanting to explore those places. I thought I need to ink something that will allow my kids to have that and also like a living legacy for them,” TshisaLive quoted her as saying.

Carol said the concept of the book started four years ago.
She said Sena is her son’s name, and Katlego is the name her son’s best friend, a furry toy.
The book will hit the shelves in April and is available for pre-orders.
