Cape Town — Rachel Kolisi took to her social media to update her followers as she and the family start packing up for their move to France after Siya secured a spot with club side Racing 92.
She told followers that she’s excited for the new opportunity, but she knows she will miss being away from SA.
“Officially our last month in SA before our move to Paris, France. 😭 I’m so grateful for the opportunity and experience, but in the same breath devastated because I love SA with my whole heart. And I love living here.”
“Juggling A LOT at the moment, and the furthest thing from being ready for a move overseas. Also just found out we’re running into more joy in the visa department 🫠 I had a great conversation with someone this week and she told me this: ‘identify which balls can drop and bounce back up and which ones would break if they dropped and focus on those’,” she said.

Earlier this year, Rachel visited Paris to search for school’s for her children Nicholas and Keziah. She said finding a school was one of the hardest things she’s had to do as a parent.
“A very full day today of school visits! Must be one of the hardest decisions for parents to make. So much to consider, and super challenging when it’s completely different to what you’ve experienced! But blooms are all around to keep reminding me of a new season,” she said.
