Cape Town – South African prominent businessman and owner of the popular Taboo nightclub, Chris Coutroulis has reportedly died after a lengthy stay in hospital.
He was 54.
According to TimesLIVE, Coutroulis, who was also husband to former Miss SA Vanessa Carreira, opened many upmarket nightclubs and venues such as the Papparazzi nightclub, Taboo, The VIP Room, ONYX, and C, to name a few.
He also hosted a number of celebrities and politicians, as well as international singers such as R Kelly and Drake.

Coutroulis and Vanessa had four children.
His family has not issued a statement regarding his death but celebrities and politicians from all over South Africa have expressed their condolences.
Among those who paid tribute to Coutroulis were DJs Major League, Warras, Fikile Mbalula, and Julius Malema.
