Cape Town – South African television presenter Angie Diale, affectionately known as Mam’ Angie, has died. She was 55.
Angie died on Thursday, December 23, at Leratong Hospital after a short illness.
She was an HIV activist and health and relationship counsellor who presented Mzansi Magic’s Please Step In and Relate on SABC 1.
A Daily Sun report said that Angie died from pneumonia – an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs.
“She was suffering from shortness of breath and subsequently treated at Tshepo Themba Hospital yesterday. She was later transferred to Leratong, where she sadly passed in the early hours of the morning.

“We kindly request to be afforded some privacy and time to deal with this sudden loss. Details of the memorial service and funeral will be confirmed at a later stage,” a family statement said, according to the report.
Angie leaves behind her mother, husband, brother, two children, and a grandson, Channel24 reported.
Mzansi Magic expressed its sadness following her passing, saying she was “a celebrated HIV activist, health and relationship counsellor who shared her knowledge graciously with others and always encouraging forgiveness”.

The television also sent its “heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and fans during this difficult time”.
