Cape Town – South Africa’s Emzini Wezinsiswa legendary actor, Vusi Thanda seems to have fallen on hard times and is crying out to Mzansi for help.
A video of the iconic actor asking for help has gone viral on social media, with Mzansi and its celebrities rallying behind him.
In the video, the veteran actor is holding out his bank card and giving his banking details.
The actor, who made the phrase “as far as I’m concerned” popular, then thanks those who who might have been touched by his message and supported him.
Shortly after the video gained traction, Mzansi bashed the Department of Arts and Culture who they they accused of doing nothing to help South African actors and actresses.

Others expressed their sadness in seeing the legendary actor in such a position.
Media personality and actress Pearl Thusi was one of the celebrities who were touched by Thanda’s plea.
The Queen Sono actress took to her Instagram to share Thanda’s plight.
She said that it was heartbreaking to see veteran actors who entertained Mzansi for years now on their knees begging for help.
She pleaded with Mzansi to help.

“What’s cruel is how the SABC continues to undercut artists as they continue to make money ‘in perpetuity’ and what’s worse is how artists can’t come together and fight this because we’re so divided… things need to change,” said the actress.
Many agreed with her and vowed to help with the little they had. One of them was The Queen actor, SK Khoza, who took to the comments section and wrote:
“No man this is Heartbreaking for real…But well said sis wami and will also do my part to help,” wrote SK Khoza.
Andries Kgomo also commented and wrote: “This is heartbreaking and shouldn’t be happening, the arts and culture department and the industry need to find a way to work together and fight such predicaments from taking place… I hope the legend gets all the help he needs.”
