Cape Town – South African actress and disc jockey Thuli Phongolo made her stance clear on the ongoing debate about whether dog owners should be allowed to own pit bulls as pets in the country.
The topic is currently a hot one after police in the Free State opened an investigation into the owner of two pit bulls after his dogs attacked and killed a 3-year-old boy on Sunday morning – an incident that enraged members of the community.
Thuli took to Twitter to give her thoughts on the matter, with many of her fans and followers sharing her stance.
“Pitbulls are a NO-NO, I’m so glad people are taking a stand against having them as pets,” she said in a tweet.
“My ex had 3 & it was always terrifying being around them alone especially if they weren’t fed yet or fed on their regular time, they go wild!
“They are not safe, RIP to the young souls lost,” she added.
