Cape Town – The host of The Kyle Cassim Show on 5FM Kyle Cassim is officially off the market after he popped the question to his girlfriend, Nicole Marilli, while on vacation in Portugal.
Kyle announced the news of their engagement on Instagram, as he also revealed an exceptional story of how they met.
He wrote: “For many years through out my life I have always been a bit lost, wondering if I’ll ever find that partner to settle down with and have a family. In all honesty it’s all I’ve ever wanted. From a young boy i prayed that God would help me become the right man to attract the right woman in my life.
“In about 2011 I met a girl named Nicole through a best friend of mine, I instantly had a crush on her and knew there was some sort of chemistry. Sadly she either had a boyfriend at the time or was travelling the world. 10 years went past and I can count the amount of times I saw her.

“In 2021 I bumped into her on a rooftop and tried to hit on her, her immediate reaction was ‘ just so you know I’m seeing someone at the moment’ – for some reason in that very moment I responded by telling her that I want you to end things with him because I want to be with you. Who knows why but she actually listened to me and one month later we were not only traveling South African and Mozambique but also living together!
“Never in my life have I met a woman that cares so much for me, that loves me for who I am and that supports me in everything I do. She is not only the most beautiful girl I’ve ever laid eyes on but has the heart of an angel. I’ve never had the feeling of wanting to always willingly put someone else’s feelings and happiness before mine, and now I do.
“So this weekend after having a crush on her for over ten years, I asked her to marry me and she said YES! My heart is complete and I promise to love you forever! I can’t wait for our journey together and cannot wait for the world to call you Mrs Cassim.”
