Cape Town – South African musician Makhandzi set Twitter abuzz recently after she posted a picture of herself sleeping next to her 18 platinum and gold plaques.
Makhadzi last week celebrated her fourth album African Queen and EP called Pain ya Jealousy for reaching gold status in less than a year.
She received 13 plaques.
The plaques were awarded to her by her record label, Open Mic Productions, during an interview on the Metro Fm Drive Time show with Tbo Touch, according to Channel24.

On Friday she was awarded 15 more plaques, reported The Citizen.
Makhadzi took to social media to express her gratitude, posting a picture of herself lying next to the plaques.
“When I thought 3 awards I received yesterday was enough matsiko nooo there is 15 more. Yes I slept next to my 18 awards of gold and platinum’s (sic) last night. I don’t know what to do with myself,” wrote Makhadzi in a tweet.
