Cape Town – Mphowabadimo, the winner of Big Brother Mzansi season 3, celebrated her seventh year anniversary as a traditional healer (sangoma).
She took to her Instagram account and expressed her gratitude for her gift.
She also acknowledged that the journey has been challenging but meaningful.
“Today marks my seventh year anniversary edlozini and still on this journey and not even halfway. I will never exchange my gift for anything because I am because of my gift. Ngathwasa ngimcane and I went through initiation thinking I’m doing this just [for] my family, but I didn’t realise the reasons were bigger than me,” she said
“After I came back from initiation, I sunk into depression — angry at my ancestors for stealing my youth, trying to find myself and also heal from the abuse iphehlo brought because the journey to self-discovery is not easy. When it finally hit, I then humbled myself and accepted my gift and gave my ancestors permission to use me.”

In an interview on DJ Sbu’s podcast The Hustler’s Corner, Mphowabadimo revealed that she suffered from depression after returning from the initiation school, as she found it difficult to share her experiences with her family.
However, she has since found fulfillment in her role as a mother, having recently given birth to a baby boy.
This new chapter in her life has made her shift away from her past clubbing lifestyle, and she now finds joy in watching her children grow.
“Time flies. Seeing both of my boys together, my heart just melts. That’s the beauty of being a mom. You watch your children grow each day, though I still need to go through the terrible twos and fours. I am glad I’m done. I don’t go out partying. That phase of my life is gone,” she said.
