Cape Town – Drip footwear founder, Lekau Sehoana, has taken to Instagram to inspire those who look up to him with a brief short story about his life struggles before he made it big.
The self-made sneaker entrepreneur shared a picture of himself at 21-years-old, having passed out from being drunk.
“This is a picture of me at 21 years of age,” he wrote.

Lekau said he turned to the bottle to suppress his frustration with life’s struggles. He said he was a drunkard, poverty-stricken and hopeless at that time but yet he remained a lover of fashion and pop-culture.

“I was able to turn my life around. Alcohol has been a way of me escaping the harsh reality of poverty and pain…I hope you too turn your life around with whatever the devil you are facing and make your dreams come true,” he said.
Lekau said Drip Footwear is more than just a sneaker. He said it’s a brand that is dedicated to working with customers to design the future.
He said design and quality are at the core of everything they do.
