Cape Town — South African media personality Pearl Thusi recently rubbed shoulders with Rwandan President Paul Kagame and actor Boris Kodjoe.
Thusi was in Rwanda to promote a new basketball court in Kimironko, Kigali and she was honoured to be part of the work that sought to change the landscape in Africa.
“I am so blessed to have watched the seed of this extraordinary work grow into what we see today. I hope to contribute more to grow basketball culture in ? & support the life changing legacy & purpose basketball has for the lives of millions on our great continent.”

Pearl said that she was honoured to meet President Paul Kagame, saying he moved her “exponentially”.
” The humility, discipline and aura has reminded me that the possibilities are not only endless, but beyond the moment we dedicate our efforts to if we want to change and improve the world of those we love.”
“The future is something we build to live beyond our own understanding and plans if the foundation we give it is strong enough for any ideas and leaders of the future to build on,” she added.
She described was Boris as “talented and humble”.
“The work you have done for African players in the NBA and with the Raptors is beyond commendable. can’t wait to see the great things you will still do, not just for the team but for @thebal . You’re appreciated,” she said.
