Cape Town – Faith Nketsi’s husband Nzuzo Njilo handed himself over to authorities after he was charged with fraud for allegedly failing to hold up his end of a truck deal in May 2021.
Opening up about the alleged fraud, Mala Gwarule and Melford Dube said Njilo had breached agreements they had with Njilo and his business partner Luntu Maxegwane, The South African reported.
In Gwarule’s case, she revealed that she signed a contract with Luntu of Maxbu Projects in June 2020. Maxbu Projects is owned by Maxegwane.
“The agreement was that I lease my truck to him, and his company and he will pay me R90 000 at the beginning of every month for 15 days on a R6 000 rate per day,” Gwarule claims. However, she says she has not received a cent from Maxegwane.

Gwarule alleged that a few weeks after giving her truck to the businessman, she saw Njilo posting it on social media as his own. When she asked for her truck back, Maxegwane refused to cooperate.
Dube said he invested R300 000 in Njilo’s company in 2020.
“I thought everything was legit. At first, he delivered what he had promised but I was shocked to learn that he had no trucks in his name, even though he showed me trucks,” he said. However, he eventually stopped paying him.
A police statement reveals that Njilo and Maxegwane will appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court for bail application on Friday 28 April.
