Cape Town – Ntsiki Mazwai was left feeling bitterly disappointed after being kicked off her own podcast by her production team, less than four months after starting their new venture.
In a statement on Twitter, Electribe Productions announced that they would be ending their partnership with Ntsiki “due to a strained professional relationship and partnership”.
“We as Electribe Productions and Miss Nontsikelelo “Ntsiki” Mazwai have parted ways due to a strained professional relationship and partnership,” read the statement.
The brand made the decision to move in another creative direction, one which Mazwai was not a part of for their future plans.
“This statement serves to inform our beloved viewers and followers that Unpopular Opinion has taken a new creative direction as we have changed the format and structure of the podcast.”

In response to the statement, Mazwai asked the company to delete her episodes, name and imaging.
Pls delete all my episodes, imaging and name ??my lawyers have sent you letters. The public knows how Unpopular Opinion started. I borrowed you my brand to Kickstart your company that had no profile. This was your first gig.
You’re welcome. https://t.co/XV7JfLvkSq— MissNtsikiMazwai (@ntsikimazwai) November 18, 2022
Mazwai felt that she was bullied off her own show and tweeted her disappointment and anger at the way she was treated by Electribe Productions, stating that she would take legal action and will be back with her own show soon.
“Sometimes you trust the wrong people and have to accept your poor choices. I will be back with my own podcast. Still processing how my following and network was used to build and then I was bullied off my own work. Trust me……I will come back harder fam,” she tweeted
