Cape Town – Memory is a key to keeping those who departed the world dear to one’s heart, and that is what South African gqom musician Babes Wodumo is doing, sharing the first bible verses Mampintsha shared with her when they first met.
Babes lost her husband Mampintsha in December last year after he suffered a stroke a week before his death.
She took to the Facebook page of her late husband to share the verse that she holds so dear to her followers, posting a picture of it.
“First verse Mina noMandla shared together… Since the first day we met… WayiHighlighter as it is… Now I understand what you meant Sthandwa Sam,” read the caption in the screenshot she upload to the late Mampintsha’s Facebook page.

Babes has been criticised by members of the public for the way in which she grieved her husband’s death after videos of her dancing at his funeral spread across social media.
Celebrities such as Simz Ngema and businesswoman Zanele Mbokazi jumped to her defence with the latter saying that Babe’s dancing was “her language with her hubby”.
According to TshisaLIVE, Simz, who is also a widow, took to Instagram live to voice her thoughts on the matter.
“People will judge for anything you do, it doesn’t matter what it is. You should do what makes you happy and content. You should live your best life the way you want to live it,” she was quoted as saying.
People have also criticised the artist for using Mampintsha’s page as often as she does.
“When a person dies, his/ her cell phone maybe the family can leave it on until the burial just to let his/her friends know that the person is no more & after burial the phone will be off for good , I’ve never seen something like this in my whole entire life,” wrote one commenter on Facebook.
