Cape Town – Fans and followers of the controversial podcast host, Mac G can breathe a sigh of relief after DJ Maphorisa retracted his statement about “beating up” the Podcast and Chill host.
The DJ was fuming after Mac G called him an “amapiano gatekeeper” and seemingly wanted nothing to do with him while speaking on the podcast.
The DJ hit back at Mac G on Instagram live, calling him “a small boy” and threatening to beat him up.
He also warned Mac G to watch his back when they meet at gigs.

“We are going to meet at gigs and he’ll be scared. He’ll explain to me what he was saying. It’s not over yet. I don’t play like that.”
Concerned followers of the podcast popularly knowns as chillers said Phori would be held responsible if anything happened to Mac G after openly threatening him.
Phori is now singing a different tune after concerned chillers alleged the DJ took things too seriously and was always fighting.
He claimed he was just “trolling” Mac G and there was no need for concerns.
“No man I’m trolling it won’t happen.” Phori responded to one concerned fan on Twitter.
Fans and followers welcomed the news while some thought Mac G’s comment about Phori was out of line.
