Cape Town – Veteran Nigerian actor Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, has died, according to reports on Monday.
“It has been confirmed that Baba Suwe is dead. I just got off the phone with his son who confirmed that the actor is dead. I don’t have much details about his death,” Punch quoted the Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria, Bolaji Amusan also known as Mr Latin as saying.
Baba Suwe died at the age of 63 after a long illness.
He dominated the Yoruba movie industry for decades, featured in several movies and bagged many awards, a Daily Post report said.
