Cape Town — South African rapper Nasty C has given his fans something to look forward to as he announced that his latest album is set to be released on 25 August.
Nasty C took to his YouTube channel and said he had finished recording all the music for the album and finalised most of his featured-artists and said the last thing left for him to do was to decide on the final number of songs for the album.
“Every time I make a sequence for this thing is so hard, like I ended up being in the 20s. I’m like nah boy I can’t even do 18. But I might just budge for 18. I want to keep on like a tight 15, 16, and 17 the most,” he said.
“But I think I’m gonna do 18 because it’s for the context of the album, and like I said this is one of those I want you guys to take your time with and really listen to it from top to bottom,” he added.
Nasty C added that he wanted to be precise when it came to the sequencing of the songs for the album and had to be really sure that he didn’t regret leaving off some of the songs.
“There’s some hard f*cking songs, I really love them but for the context of the album, for the sh*t to make sense, I don’t want anything to sound like ‘ooh, this doesn’t belong here’,” he said.
According to TimesLIVE, Nasty C is not the only SA rap artist who’s releasing new music and Cassper Nyovest’s highly-anticipated album, Solomon, is set to be released soon, after a long delay.
The two artists are also set to embark on a tour through Africa called the African Throne Tour set to run from August to October.
The two will be touring across Tanzania, Ghana, Zambia, Nigeria, Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Ivory Coast, eSwatini, South Africa and Mozambique.
