Cape Town — South African music star Nadia Nakai has opened up on the video of the police officer who was gunned down in Braamfontein and she revealed she was scared to open it.
The incident occurred on Monday last week when an off-duty JMPD and SAPS officer were involved in an altercation that saw shots being fired after an argument, resulting in the JMPD dying.
Videos of people being shot and killed are triggering for anyone but it carries extra weight for Nadia after her boyfriend AKA was shot and killed in Durban in February.
In a series of tweets, Nadia revealed she could not bring herself to opening the video and said that the whole shooting could have been avoided.
That video of the man getting shot outside a club in Braam… the thing is I didn’t hear screams and mayhem after the shots were fired! It’s like everyone including the person taking the video is desensitised. That scares me.
