Cape Town – Popular Telenovela, The Queen, produced by TV production giant, Ferguson Films, is ending next year and its last episode will air on January 13, local television channel Mzansi Magic has announced.
According to Channel24, M-Net Local Entertainment Channels said that two telenovelas The Queen on Mzansi Magic and Lingashoni on 1Magic are coming to an end in 2023.
“As the M-Net local entertainment channels, we would like to applaud the producers, cast and crew of The Queen and Lingashoni for their dedication to delivering riveting storylines and award-winning content in highly contested primetime slots,” the report quoted Shirley Adonisi Director of M-Net local entertainment channels as saying.

This comes after numerous reports making the rounds on social media that The Queen will not be renewed for another season.

“The Queen’s producers, Ferguson Films, will shoot season seven of the show, which will premiere in July 2022 and viewers will continue to enjoy the telenovela on their screens until its final episode airs on 13 January 2023.
“We maintain long-standing and positive relationships with Ferguson Films and Stained Glass TV, with both production houses having created other shows for our channels,” The Citizen quoted a statement issued by Dstv as saying.
The Queen topped Twitter’s trending list nearly every night at 21:00 when it aired.

About Damn Time, cause I personally think that it wss long overdue since the production team has not being innovative or creative for a long time. Only feeling sorry for the cast but I hope they’ll find homes in other telenovas as there seems to be a lot of them
