Cape Town — Lynn Forbes still clearly misses her son, rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes. She took to social media to pay tribute to him, just eight months after his tragic death.
AKA was shot and killed outside Wish Restaurant in Durban on 10 February. His death was a massive shock to Mzansi and left many people mourning him for a long time, including Lynn, his girflriend Nadia Nakai and his daughter Kairo Forbes, along with many others in the music industry.
Lynn recently took to her Instagram stories and uploaded a picture of herself and Kiernan hugging. She expressed how much she misses him.
“Eight months without you. My soul misses your soul,” she said.
Following the first episode of season three of DJ Zinhle’s reality show, The Unexpected, Lynn revealed that AKA visited her in a dream regarding Kairo, whom he shares with Zinhle, The South African reported.
“I told you about the dream I had…” said Lynn as Zinhle chimed in “take Kairo off social media.”
“But you know Kiernan was never really keen for Kairo being on social media. So every time I think about this dream I realise how clear that dream was. It was really a visit, it wasn’t just a dream,” Lynn added.
Lynn said the dream felt so clear and that Kiernan was saying to her that he did not want to completely take social media away from her, but just to limit it.
“He said limit the time that you expose her on social media and even in public,” she continued.
