Cape Town — South African producer and DJ, Mr Thela, is set to release his highly-anticipated follow-up album, ‘Tronics Land Series 2’ on Friday 17 November 2023, ahead of the festive season.
In a statement shared with African Insider, the album is a follow-up to his first-ever solo project of the same name, which was released one year ago under his record label ‘Tronics Land’. Tronics Land Series 1 became an instant success with hits such as ‘Impempe’ and ‘Looking at my dreams’ and has had close to 2 million streams since its release.
Thela burst into the scene in 2020 at the height of lockdown with a joint album titled ‘MAKE CAPE TOWN GREAT AGAIN’. The album was an instant success and dominated charts and radio waves, being certified platinum by the Recording industry of South Africa (RiSA).
Tronics Land Series 2 is a 16-track album which features heavyweights such as Amapiano artist Njelic, Leehleza and Kammu Dee amongst others.

Mr Thela’s announcement of the album release comes on the heels of his return from a successful two-week tour in the United Kingdom, where he showcased his talents in Birmingham and London.
Following the release of his new album, Mr Thela will go on a local tour as of the 17th of November, starting with Durban from 17 – 19 November, Gqeberha & East London from 24 – 26 November, Johannesburg from the 1 – 3 December and he will spend the rest of his December in Cape Town.
