Cape Town – South African radio personality Mark Pilgrim has given his followers another update on his time in hospital, opening up about how much he misses his “girls”, as children are not allowed in the ICU.
Mark revealed in an earlier post that he would be spending some time in the hospital after undergoing surgical procedures, and has been documenting his time in the ICU ever since.
“Surgery later this afternoon to sort out collapsed lung… and my ‘ICU home’ for the next week or so,” he said in the caption.
He also revealed that his tumours were shrinking and that he was hopeful he will be back on radio soon.
In his latest Instagram post, Mark opened up about a procedure he had done, the after-effects of it, and how much he misses his daughters.

“Hospital Day 11. Had a procedure done on Friday evening and landed up with a high fever, so was man down most of yesterday recovering (hence no photo of me exercising ?),” Mark said in his post.
“Feeling much better today. Little bit of cabin fever after so many days in the room connected to tubes, but I know it’s all in the name of sorting out the lung issue for good. Got a few more days here.
“Adrienne and friends visiting every day, a good book, my radio and Netflix passes the time somewhat. Missing my girls (children not allowed in ICU).
“This journey is a lesson in healing, patience and simply… believing. I choose the outcome. And I choose life,” Mark concluded.
