The new restrictions allowed a maximum of 50 people for both public and private gatherings.
Sports halls, gyms, and places of worship have also been allowed to reopen, the report said.
Parks also opened, as well as restaurants, food courts, and fast-food outlets.
Cinemas, casinos, bars, and discotheques remained closed.

Some of the business restrictions were eased at the beginning of May, allowing markets to reopen, Garda World reported.
A number of non-essential businesses and facilities had remained closed.
