Cape Town – Admired radio presenter Mark Pilgrim has taken a moment to express his gratitude to blood donors after recently having a blood transfusion.
In a recent post on Instagram, Pilgrim updated his followers and thanked blood donors.
“Receiving a blood transfusion. To the kind individuals in this country who take the time to donate blood and help others… thank you,” he wrote.
The radio personality, who is recovering in ICU, recently got to see his daughters after three weeks of not seeing them.

“Magical moment. After almost 3 weeks I got to hug my girls!
“They’re not allowed in ICU, so I got permission to step out and visit them in the passage,” he said in an Instagram post.
In another post, Pilgrim revealed that he would be spending some time in the hospital after undergoing surgical procedures.
The radio presenter was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer earlier this year.
