Cape Town – Mo Flava presented his final show on Metro FM on Tuesday after eight years at the station.
However, not everyone was sad to see him go. MacG, the host of Podcast and Chill revealed that he was happy that Mo Flava “got fired”.
Mo Flava tweeted early on Tuesday to remind fans that it was his last show on MetroFM and that he was ready to “freestyle” it.
“Good morning! Hope you’re ready for the day ahead. Today will be my last show on MetroFM. I don’t know how a last show is supposed to sound like so I guess we’ll freestyle. Join us #WakeUpOnMetroFM“

MetroFM revealed that the station and Mo Flava had reached a mutual agreement to part ways.
“The time has come for me to move on and explore other opportunities. I have spent eight amazing years at MetroFM and I appreciate the opportunity I was given to do top level radio and touch lives,” Mo Flava said.
He added that MetroFM listeners had a special place in his heart and that he was looking forward to new opportunities to express his talent.
MetroFM business manager Nina Nhlengethwa said the station had been blessed to have Mo Flava as part of the team.
“He has been consistent throughout the years in contributing meaningfully to the MetroFM brand. We wish Mo well in his future endeavour.”

However, MacG was having none of it, He said on his podcast, “I want to ask you guys and be honest, am I a bad person for being happy that Mo Flava got fired, I was so happy”.
His co-host, Sol Phenduka, then asked whether he thought Mo Flava was leaving for a better gig, MacG replied that nothing was bigger than the MetroFM breakfast gig and that he was fired.
“Aah man, it’s being fired, come on now. What’s a bigger gig than breakfast at Metro FM, anything apart from that is a step down bru, no matter where he goes,” Mac G said.
