According to The South African, Roberts opened up about her cancer journey and she revealed that it was more devastating for her to lose her hair than it was to lose her breasts following her diagnosis in 2019.
“To lose my hair was more traumatic than my breasts. My breasts were ‘sick’, and I understand they had to go, but there was nothing wrong with my hair,” she said.
She said her hair had become part of her identity and origins and had tried anything to keep her hair. She admitted to using the cold cap technique in an attempt to keep it, but her hair fell out three weeks after her first chemo session.
South Africans on social media paid their tributes to the talented actress.
