Cape Town – South African DJ Uncle Waffles, born Lungelihle Zwane, faced online criticism for her outfit at the Earthshot Awards in Cape Town, where she met Prince William.
Wearing a spiked, crocodile-print bra with matching jeans, her look stirred debate on social media, with some users deeming it inappropriate for the occasion.

Critics argued her attire was overly provocative and suggested a more formal choice might have been more suitable for meeting the British prince.
While some found Uncle Waffles’ choice of outfit inappropriate for meeting Prince William, it’s not the first time a royal has encountered a South African celebrity in unconventional attire.
In 2019, rugby player Faf de Klerk famously met Prince Harry in just his underwear following the Springboks’ Rugby World Cup victory.
