Cape Town – Most fans of the beautiful game rarely get the chance to see their favourite players in person, let alone meet them, but Trevor Noah met with two of the sport’s greatest – David Beckham and Didier Drogba.
Trevor took to Instagram, posting pictures with the legends in two different posts.
He said that he grew up struggling to bend a ball the way Beckham was able to. Beckham was part of the famous Manchester United side that won the treble in 1999. In addition to that, he won six Premier League titles with the Manchester club as well as winning a Spanish title with Real Madrid and a Spanish Super Cup with the Galácticos.
“As a 15 year old I destroyed so many pairs of shoes trying to figure out how to bend the ball like this man. I never figured it out but yesterday he promised to buy me a new pair of predators,” Trevor captioned his post.
“A true legend and absolute gentleman @davidbeckham.”

In a separate post, Trevor posted a picture of him posing with Ivory Coast and Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba, labelling him as one of the greatest strikers the game has ever seen.
Drogba had a sparkling career most notably with Chelsea, winning 4 English Premier League titles, 1 Champions League, and 4 FA Cups among other personal accolades and trophies won with Turkish club, Galatasaray.
“Find me a defender who says he could contain this man and I’ll find you liar. What a fun surprise to bump into my brother @didierdrogba. One of the greatest strikers the world has ever seen!” Trevor captioned his picture with the Ivorian icon.
