Cape Town – South African media personality and Survivor South Africa 2019 winner Rob Bentele has developed a mobile app, Eyerus, that is set to help fight gender-based violence.
The star took to his Instagram page to announce the news.
“Introducing Eyerus.
“A year and a half of hard work has finally manifested into reality. Proud to announce Eyerus, an automated algorithm with the sole mandate of keeping you safe at all times. Eyerus will be free to download for all South Africans….,” Bentele wrote in a post.

According to Drum, Bentels’s app comes as the country commemorates the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence.
“GBV is a big problem in our country, and this is a way of trying to help get help for victims and get the perpetrators behind bars where they belong because the authorities will be in possession of the evidence,” the report quoted Bentele as saying.
