Cape Town – Businesswoman and socialite, Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize took to Instagram on Tuesday to drop some pearls of wisdom to motivate people to never forget to “run your own race and at your own pace”.
She shared a photo of herself clad in an all-black ensemble, which she accessorised with dark sunglasses, as she donned a wide big smile.
“Whilst walking them streets of NYC (New York City) , I’m just here to remind everyone that it’s important to run your own race at your own pace. Your competition is not with the people/person around you. Your biggest competition is you,” she wrote.

Earlier, she had shared with her multitude of followers on Instagram, her New York journey and how good it had been to her and her son, Andile Mpisane.
MaMkhize was in New York with Andile who was promoting his soon-to-be released single “Ubala“.
Andile was the opening act for Hip Hop giants Rick Ross, Gucci Mane and Jeezy amongst other great rappers for the Detroit event, Legends of The Street Tour.
“Thank you USA (United States of America), you have been good to us. We had an amazing time and we achieved our set goals, cold weather and all. I don’t believe in goodbyes, so let me rather say, we will be seeing you again soon,” she said.

Her Instagram story triggered a comment from one of her followers who claimed that MaMkhize snubbed her daughter, Sibahle Mpisane on the New York trip.
“Sicela phela nike nimthathe bandla no Sibahle (We are kindly asking you to also take your daughter Sibahle to a trip),” said the social follower.
MaMkhize clapped back and said that all was well between her and Sibahle.
“I don’t know why you are saying that but so that you are OK, Sibahle is working very hard now to restore back her career and Andy (Andile) did ask her, but she is focused on what she is busy with now,” said MaMkhize.
