Cape Town – Businesswoman Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize departed for New York on Saturday with her son, Royal AM Chairperson, Andile Mpisane, as part of his highly anticipated performance on the international stage.
According to The Citizen, it was confirmed earlier this month that Andile, who is also a recording artist, was set to be the opening act of The Street Tour in Detroit.
Taking to Instagram, his mother shared her joy of seeing her son performing on a global stage and rubbing shoulders with award-winning international Hip Hop rappers like Rick Ross and Nelly amongst others.
“We spent over 24 hours flying to the USA for this moment right here! Seeing my son spread his wings and take over world stages has been an honour to witness,” she said in her recent post.

MaMkhize encouraged the black child, saying that it was possible to dream and set goals for oneself to achieve big things and become successful.
“It’s possible dear black child. If you can dream it, you can do it. This is only the beginning Andile Mpisane, mommy will be by your side, cheering you on and most importantly, believing in you. Super proud of you,” she said in her post.
In another post, she shared the rehearsal of the event and what a “scary moment” it was for Andile as a budding performer.
“This is how it’s all started, rehearsal on such a big stage was a scary moment for my son, but hey trust me we are pushing on and he is flying the South African flag high,” said the proud mother.
