Cape Town – South African musician Makhadzi, real name Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, is known for her energetic performances and unique fusion of Afro-house and traditional Venda music. She recently travelled to Zanzibar, Tanzania, for the 3rd Trace Awards & Summit, held from 24 to 26 February.
At the event, the award-winning artist won the Best Dance of the Year award and was also nominated for Best Female Artist.
While in Zanzibar, Makhadzi took time to unwind at the beach, sharing sun-kissed bikini photos with her fans on Instagram.

She also announced the release of her new EP, set for 4 April, and has already dropped a single, Ma Arab, emphasising that she has “no time to rest”.
Makhadzi’s music blends traditional rhythms with modern beats, making her a favourite across Africa. Over the years, she has won multiple awards, including the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) and other international accolades.
