Cape Town — Kairo Forbes, the daughter of DJ Zinhle and AKA, got her dream birthday wish to go to New York City. Kairo celebrated with her ‘glammy’ Lynn Forbes, but mom Zinhle had to miss out because of passport issues.
This is Kairo’s first birthday since her dad’s passing and DJ Zinhle promised to make it special for her daughter. In May, Kairo revealed she wanted to travel for her birthday and Zinhle pleaded for help.
“Kairo’s birthday trip to New York is gonna be so expensive. Send Coins!!!! My sweet girl has decided she wants to travel every year for her birthday as if there’s a birthday allowance that just drops from heaven,” Zinhle said.
Kairo and Lynn posted a video from their hotel, where Kairo was lounging on the hotel bed.
Lynn could be seen staring out the window and admiring the city sights before the camera shows the outside.
“Kairo and Glammy Take New York! 😀.”

The South African reported that Kairo and Lynn were supposed to be joined by Zinhle but she only made it through halfway the trip because of an issue with her passport.
A screenshot of her Instagram story revealed she had to fly back to Johannesburg from Dubai because she lost her passport and US visa. She also revealed Kairo and Lynn were on their way to New York without their luggage.
“As soon as I lost my passport I knew I wasn’t going to New York, which I am okay with now,” she said.
Zinhle ended up returning home to be with her other daughter Asante Mohosana and her partner Morda.
