Cape Town – With all of the controversy surrounding pit bulls in the country, J’Something found himself tangled in it after he attempted to defend a picture of him with his dog, insisting that it is not a pit bull.

The singer received much backlash from his followers on Twitter, especially because of very recent events.
Police in the Free State recently opened an inquest for further investigation into the owner of two pit bulls after his dogs attacked and killed a 3-year-old boy over the weekend – an incident that enraged members of the community.
This has sparked great debate about whether dog owners should be allowed to keep pit bulls as pets. With the public on edge about a dog that has the ability to kill a human being, anything that resembles a pit bull will have people on their toes.
This sense of fragility is evident in the way tweeps responded to J’Something’s post.
“So low, insensitive and not funny. An innocent child has died. I’m utterly disappointed,” one fan wrote to J’Something.
Timing is everything.. I once recommended you in one of our brand activations. I never expected this response from you.Not that you owe me any favour, I was just expressing how I feel about pit bulls. It’s okay to put your point across without being derogatory @jsomethingmusic pic.twitter.com/bLkoaHjg53

JSomething tried justifying his post but unfortunately that dog look like a pitbull

Some followers, however, supported the singer in his post, and agreeing that his dog is not a pit bull.
Then why should Jsomething not post a picture of himself and his non pitbull dog? Unless we’re saying all dogs are a trigger for now, so let’s rather not post any until the dust settles?
