Cape Town – South African media personalities, Boity Thulo and Pearl Thusi were in a reflective and appreciative mood while chilling in first class on an Emirates flight recently.
The two reflected on where they came from to the fortunate positions they find themselves in today.
Pearl, who is an actress, model, and presenter known for her roles as Patricia Kopong in the BBC/HBO comedy-drama series The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, Dayana Mampasi in the ABC thriller Quantico and Samkelo in the romance film Catching Feelings, took to Instagram to share her thoughts while chilling with Boity, travelling through the air.
“We used to catch taxis in the ranks of Joburg! Now we A terminal, OR TAMBO!” she wrote in the caption of her post.

“God switched it up, so we rank in first class o! Then catch the next one in Dubai o! But if you hit naija gotta grab Doha o!” She added.
“We were throwing gang signs trying to get to town bro! Now we gram peace signs, and the Dom on tap hoe!”
Her caption resembled poetry – a reflective poem that shows Pearl and Boity did not forget their roots. The pair are well equipped to carry the South African flag high wherever in the world they find themselves.
Boity also took to her Instagram to let her followers know that, “she loves these”.
Pearl took to the comment section to say: “From taxi ranks to first class ?? God has been so good to us.”
