Cape Town – South African comedian Marc Lottering returns to the stage, as Cape Town’s most electrifying auntie with Auntie Merle – Things Get Real is set to run at the Baxter Theatre from November 29, 2022 until January 14, 2023.
The show is Marc Lottering’s new musical comedy, following the smash hit Aunty Merle It’s a Girl!
Two years have gone by since Merle was last visited. She has survived Covid and has just about navigated her way around Load Shedding.
But things are about to get real. Really real. Her husband Dennis has been keeping a secret from her. So secretive has Dennis been, that it’s affected his heart. His doctor advises him to come clean.

Marc is set to play the role of Aunty Merle, supported by a cast that includes the likes of Loukmaan Adams, Madeegha Anders, Crystal Finck, Tankiso Mamabolo, Jawaahier Petersen, Anzio September, and Royston Stoffels with award-winning director and Baxter CEO Lara Foot directing the comedic production.
