Cape Town – Sometimes a vacation is all one needs to recuperate after some hard work, and that is exactly what South African actress, Thuso Mbedu did when she spent a week in Abu Dhabi to watch the F1 and more.
The Woman King actress had a good year with the film becoming a hit at the box office, making $19 051 442 (28.5% of total gross) on the opening weekend and receiving good reviews.
In addition to the success of the movie, she also bagged the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Performance in a Scripted Series at the 2022 Spirit Awards for her portrayal of Cora in The Underground Railroad.
It would be fair to say that Thuso’s week off was well-deserved.
From experiencing the Formula 1 race day festivities to wearing a hijab and checking out the beautiful mosques, riding jet skis in Dubai, and riding a quad bike in the dessert, Thuso really made the most of her time in the united Arab Emirates.
“Spent the week in Abu Dhabi to watch the F1 race and a whole lot of life happened in between,” she said in an Instagram post.
