Cape Town – Former Miss South Africa and philanthropist Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni, has been selected as one of the judges for the Miss South Africa 2022 pageant.
Liesl took to Instagram with gratitude to announce the news.
“A new journey has begun & this is such a special journey to be a part of. Sitting on in this panel with the calibre of women I sit next to is not something I take for granted.

“I understand that this is a huge job interview and I encourage all the entrants to treat it as such. All the best to all that has entered. I look forward to meeting all of you,” wrote Liesl.

According to The Witness, Liesl will be joining body-positive activist Tracey-Lee Lusty Horwitz, business dynamo Koo Govender, fashion designer Khosi Nkosi, businesswoman and award-winning editor Makhosazana Zwane-Siguqa, actor Simoné Nortmann and actor and TV personality Thando Thabethe on the judging panel.
The annual Miss South Africa contest is under way. The top 30 contestants will be revealed live on the Miss South Africa app on Monday, May 16 at 19:00, the report said.
Liesl was crowned Miss South Africa in the year 2015.
