Sleep easy John Berks. You sir, made radio history. I listened to you in the 90s, in mom’s car, on way to school. You created a platform for a turbulent nation. You boldy reflected the contradictions of our chaotic transition. You made us laugh. You worked. NOW REST! #JohnBerks

Was talking to an old mate about #JohnBerks this am. And now he’s died. A radio legend of almost unequalled talent. He brought talk radio to 702 & to SA. A genius when it came to humour. He WAS radio. RIP Berksie.
