Cape Town – After a period of silence, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa has broken her silence following accusations of being a mistress in a cheating scandal.
According to News24, Enhle said that “Legal proceedings [are] in progress. We reserve our right not to comment or engage at this time until further notice.”
The scandal first began when Valentine Bango accused the actress of having an affair with her husband, Justice Huni, using social media to confront the media personality earlier this month.
“Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa and my husband Justice Huni have been having an affair for years. They have been keeping this secret and this year they finally decided to tell me.
“They decided to tell me because they wanted her to join our marriage as a second wife. They tried to make their affair look pretty. Unfortunately you can’t turn dirt into gold,” Valentine wrote, adding that she had rejected and dismissed the proposal.

Bango then followed her allegations up with more evidence, uploading a recorded call between herself and Enhle.
In the call uploaded to social media by Bango, she asked whether or not her husband and Enhle were still intent on carrying on with their relationship. Enhle then revealed to Bango that she had done research on polygamous marriages and concluded: “it needed to be received at home first”.
However, Bango said that did not want to be involved in a polygamous marriage and she “will not change my mind”.

Huni released a statement, denying the allegations and defending his alleged mistress.
“I categorically deny everything stated about Enhle pertaining to the nature of mine and Enhle’s relationship. She unfortunately got herself into a messy issue and as a friend covered for me unaware it would lead to this unfortunate event,” Huni wrote.
“She is one of the boys and covered for me. She does not deserve any of this,” he added.
He also added that the matter will be “handled within my household”.
