Cape Town – South African businessman Leeroy Sidambe reportedly issued a statement over the weekend denying that he left his wife, known as Mary Jane, to be with media personality Mihlali Ndamase.
Mihlali and Leeroy recently shared pictures of one another on their Instagram stories, after which social media users went into a frenzy, claiming that Sidambe was a married man, as his alleged wife had not signed divorce papers, reported TshisaLIVE.
In a statement shared by celebrity gossip Musa Khawula on Twitter, Leeroy said that he took the decision to separate from his wife earlier this year.
“According to my understanding and conveyed by my lawyers, this meant that my estranged wife and I were free to live our lives as we saw fit. Free to move on in whatever manner we chose, as single individuals…” the statement read.

During that time, Leeroy said he met Mihlali and fell in love with her.
“In this time I met a woman, that I fell in love with and it has been heartbreaking to see her being dragged on social media for loving me loudly and boldly. The constant harrassment she receives, instigated by my estranged wife’s associates, is unbearable and quite frankly not safe for anyone’s mental wellbeing,” adds the statement.
