Cape Town — Siya Kolisi, the celebrated Springboks captain, has showered praise on his sister-in-law Tatjana Smith, following her remarkable gold medal victories at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Siya has always been known for his support of fellow athletes in the South African sphere and this time is no different — as he showcased a spotlight on his sister-in-law Tatjana via a recent Instagram post.
Tatjana tied the knot with Rachel Kolisi’s brother, Joel Smith back in 2023 and has been warmly embraced by the Kolisi family ever since.
Sharing a picture in all smiles, side-by-side with the gold medalist, Siya took to his timeline and wrote: “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. ~Psalm 126:3 FAMILY BUSINESS ❤️🙏🏾”

His wife Rachel also took to her own Instagram timeline to celebrate Tatjana’s achievements, highlighting not only the medals but also the dedication and sacrifices that led to her success.
“I can’t believe she’s my sister-in-law 🥹 A South African gem, I’m so proud of you @tatjanaschoen for the medals yes, but mostly for the sacrifices, hard decisions, and commitment to our good Lord. ❤️” wrote Rachel.
“Spent the day with our @mercedesbenzsa and @kolisi_foundation fam today doing a power 2 you activation with a group of high school girls. (This meant we could sneak in a lunch with Tats and @jcsmith7 ) A beautiful day in JHB with beautiful people 🙏🏼” she continued.
