Cape Town – South African businesswoman and socialite, Shauwn Mkhize has taken to social media to remind black women to keep shining despite the so many obstacles that may come their way.
“Dear brown skin girl,
“Remember that your sparkle is your everyday gift to the world. Never give them a chance to dim your light, keep shining and being a constant reminder that black is beautiful! Black is power! Black is excellence and black is magic!” Mkhize wrote on her Instagram account.

Mkhize recently fulfilled her dream of owning a top-flight football club by buying Bloemfontein Celtic and moved the club to Pietermaritzburg.
She renamed it Royal AM.
Mkhize, thus, became the second female owner of a Premiership club this season after Mato Madlala, who combines running Durban-based Golden Arrows with being acting chief executive of the PSL.
However, Mhize’s winning streak was cut short after her Royal AM lost to Swallows FC in their DStv premiership encounter at the Dobsonville Stadium last Sunday.
Nonetheless, she showed no weakness.
“For the team assembled in four days without a preseason, to hold one of the strongest teams for 92 minutes, was not a bad start. Lack of concentration in the dying minutes has cost us one point, we will take it and learn from our mistakes,” she posted on Istagram.
