Cape Town — Kairo Forbes is arguably one of the most well-known children in South Africa and her fame was there for everyone to see after she won an award at the South African Social Media Awards (SASMAs).
The Social Media Awards celebrate some of South Africa’s best content creators, and influencers, across all social media platforms. Kairo was awarded Social Media Kid Influencer of the year at the 3rd annual SASMAs that took place in Sandton this past weekend.
The awards is dedicated to “young, dynamic influencers under the age of 18 who have been relentlessly shaping their presence on social media platforms, The Citizen reported.
She took to her Instagram page to celebrate her win and thank her family for the love and support they’ve shown to her.
“We did it Glammy!!! Thank you to mom, dad and my family for all your love and support, to everyone who voted for me, especially The Megacy and to @smawards_za and @canonrsa thank you for honouring me with the Social Media Kid Influencer of the Year award”

Among the other winners at the world show was Naledi Mallela for Social Media Influencer of the Year, Gift of The Givers for Social Media Charity Campaign, The Funny Chef for Social Media Personality of the Year, and the No Chill Podcast for Best Podcast of the Year.
