Cape Town – Controversial South African poet and singer Ntsiki Mazwai has once again ruffled some feathers after she said that American singer Beyonce Knowles owes her beauty to “light-skin privilege”.
Ntsiki took to Twitter on Monday this week to choose nothing but violence, as she tweeted: “One more unpopular opinion…. Iv never thought Beyonce was pretty, just light skin privilege…“

Many of her followers warned her that she would get a sting from Beyonce’s fans who call themselves the Beyhive.

And Ntsiki’s fans were indeed not wrong, as the Beyhive came gun blazing at Ntsiki, with many calling her all kinds of names.
However, she paid them no mind and instead stuck to her guns as she replied to one tweep who posted a picture of Beyonce.
“Make-up and weaves is not my standard of beauty sthandwa Sam,” Ntsiki wrote in a tweet.
