Cape Town – Award-winning Gospel artist, Dumi Mkokstad took to Twitter recently to clear the air about a tweet he posted that has since been deleted.
According to TimesLive, the “Ukuhlala Kuye” hitmaker posted a tweet that set tongues wagging.
“Suicide isn’t the solution. Christ is,” he said according to the report.
Dumi was referring to the latest news of the fallen Hip Hop and fashionista giant Ricky Rick who reportedly committed suicide due to suffering from “chronic depression”.

The gospel singer claimed that he also suffered from mental illness but eventually found salvation through “Christ”.
“Because I have been through depression I wrote tweets yesterday with the #RIKYRICK_I_UNDERSTAND because I have been there and was on the verge of committing suicide myself. Therefore, I can never judge anyone who ends up taking their lives because I know exactly what they’re facing,” said Dumi.

Dumi said that people dealt with situations differently and he would never judge anyone going through depression.

Rikhado “Ricky Rick” Makhado will be laid to rest on Tuesday, March 1 in a private burial ceremony.
The funeral will be live-streamed across all social media platforms.
His memorial service is due to take place on Friday, March 4, according to The Citizen.
